South Africa’s response to Covid-19 has been swift, integrated and urgent as led by President Cyril Ramaphosa. Equally, companies in South Africa have heeded the President’s call and are supporting government interventions, pledging finances and aiding workers, clients and value chains. In this Special Edition of The Compact Newsletter, we bring you some examples of how companies in South Africa are responding to the Covid-19 crisis. It is also encouraging to see impactful collaborations emerging between companies and with government and civil society.
